...brought back by an Obit. On one of my news-sites that has a Spirituality section there was mention that Satya Sai Baba died. The ONLY Partner(or boyfriend) I EVER had with ANY Spirituality Interest was a Devotee of his.
Wayne was(and probably is, with his money and bennies as a US dept head)a Theosphist, Traveller to Madjegorea, Follower of "The Maitreya"(who was a Hindu Holy Man who supposedly was being protected in Britain by Imams. What can I say, it was the late 80's)and Satya Sai Baba Devotee. There is NO ONE who can give Spiritual "tude" like a Theosophist. The most "positive" thing he ever said about my Beleifs was that he couldn't Understand why if I needed to be "pagan" why I didn't become a Hindu...a "real religion". 3 yrs of this combined with declining Health and trying on a Nurse's salary to go "dutch" on meals with a millionaire took it's toll.
I remember how excited he was to get some "Holy Ash" that Sai Baba "gave off" and how I recognised what it was...since even before Knowing Wayne I often bought Sai Baba's Incense. Yup, that's all it was. Incense ash...but I "Didn't Get It".
After Wayne I never felt the desire to have as "spiritual" boyfriend or partner. Better a Tolerant non-Beleiver than an Intolerant or Condescending one.....
