Well, it was fun but I’m glad it’s over. 10 days at a family reunion on a cruise. Sounds great until you realize that you can’t get away when you Wish. Don’t get me Wrong, I love my family….BUT. The 10 hrs to-n-fro, 6 packed in didn’t help either. The scary part was that my brother and his wife act IDENTICALLY to my folks;>
It was great meeting my oldest bro’s wife Muan(sp), a Thai woman that he’d dated off-n-on for about a decade. A Widow of a Serviceman, she didn’t Wish to get married after having a brain tumour removed because she “didn’t Wish to be a Burden”. Thankfully, Gary finally talked her out of that nonsense. A truly Lovely person….
It was weird seeing all the Security though, actually made me very Uncomfortable. There were gunboats about the ship in Mexico and in Costa Rica and Panama I felt like I was an extra on ‘The A Team’. It was sad seeing such Beautiful and Resource-rich countries with such Poverty. Everyone “bitches” about the Evils of English and Dutch colonialism yet the Bloodiest, the Spanish are given a free pass. Many British colonies(including the States;>) have done well but I can’t Think of a single Spanish one that has. “But that’s Different, they have Spiritually-coloured Skin?!!”……
