This BBC documentary/Reconstruction of the lives of a number of Pompei inhabitants is still one of the best done. To me, however it has a "Woo" side. When it was 1st on the TV my Mom called me and told me to watch it. Why? Because when I was a little kid I used to draw this Greco-Roman scene with what(at the time) looked like water pouring into the city. What particularly caught my Mom's eye in the documentary was that the scenes of the center forum were basically a "bird's eye" picture of my drawings.
I'd always been fascenated by Pompei. I knew I'd lived in Ptolomeic Egypt so I should be surprised of the possibility of one in the Roman Empire as well...
