Tony, I Apologise..You're Right;>!
May. 9th, 2011 02:04 pmI'm a fan of Tony Bourdain's show, probably since we havethe same sense of Humor. One area that I always thought he was being morethan usually over-the-top was is comments about Rachael Ray...until today. You see, I'd never seen her show. While I'm doing some "Domestic Engineering", the TIVO decides to record her show. Since the subject is Japanese Noodles, I start listening. Then, I begin to sound like Bourdain;>.
He's right. "Rache" is to Ethnic Cusine as the Newage is to...pretty much everything. Superficial, shallow and easy. And you can't even say she's "adapting" a traditional Japanese dish for those without access to traditional ingredients when half are hard to find fresh in Asian markets. Nope, just doing her "thang".
Like Spaghetti's the same thing as Ramen, Somen or Udon. See how she likes her fav Italian Pasta dish using Soba or the above three. I now Understand why he detests her. Oh, she called it a traditional noodle bowl too....
Cheers,
Pat
