Series Recommendation, 'XXXholic'
Nov. 6th, 2011 07:31 amI know, I Know...yet another Anime;>. Sadly, this is one of the few genres and mediums where real issues get presented, esp. those of s Spiritual Nature. AS does this one.
Major dweeb/geek/etc orphan trustfund boy also has a couple other problems. Not only can he See Spirits, they find him attractive/interesting/etc and follow him around like stray puppies. One day, while trying to escape from one rather gross Spirit he ducks into this odd old house between two modern structures(very 'Stuart Little';>). Here he discovers a beautiful Witch(cross Morticia Adams with a supermodel, then do the Anime in the form of an Erte' Illustration)who will solve his problem in exchange for Services....
Very 'Outer Limits' with a strong Moral/Ethical spin. Like the earlier recommended 'Pet Shop of Horrors', you get what you Deserve, not what you want. Very good so far, though the boy is really annoying in over-the-top Nerdliness. I don't see what the Spirits See in him personally;>
